We are a small business that cares about the details.

VA Displays is a design-production studio built on a foundation of core values, client relations, and technical skills necessary for continual growth in the industry. We are a unique combination of prior business experience and education dedicated to serving Smithfield and surrounding areas. With a commitment to time tested design, we produce and install quality solutions for your business, museum or other imaginative projects.

Ernest White – Owner/Operator

With local roots in Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks of NC, Ernest earned two bachelors degrees from NC State University College of Design (Art & Design and Industrial Design). After a decade of managing at a premier design/fabrication company while operating a small sign business in Raleigh, he and his wife Joanna decided to make the town of Smithfield their new home and created what is now VA Displays.

Joanna White – Director of Finance

With a masters degree in accounting from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, Joanna directs the financial operations of the company. Her responsibilities include general accounting, payroll, taxes, budget, and cash flow. She also works as a government contract auditor and takes care of her husband and three beautiful daughters.

Design

We are a multi-disciplinary design company with extensive experience in the creation of beautiful things. Our unique solutions are also drawn from advanced education in the following areas:

Graphic Production
From Roland Inkjet Printers to OEM inks and media, we use high quality equipment so that our customers can expect high quality results. Whether you provide the art or have us design it for you, our wide format printing capabilities allow us to produce high impact, quality professional images.
Fabrication
With a full workshop on the premises we are able to build custom exhibits, exhibit components and signage for a variety of applications including museums, corporate lobbies, showrooms, and visitor centers.  We pay close attention to detail with a focus on quality, production and durability.
Installation
The final touch and most important step to a job well done is a professional installation.  With optional installation services, our work is not done until your product is delivered and installed to your specifications.
